Shams, the new Saudi tabloid which was banned for …

Shams, the new Saudi tabloid which was banned for a period of time during the Danish cartoons controversy, has published one of my AFP photos but in a different context for another story. They have used a different caption than the one distributed by the agency. The caption here reads, “Ahmed Al-Omran, a young Saudi browses websites on his laptop.” What a lame line is this?

  1. well ahem..at least mine wasn’t..wink wink..but..their pic is bigger. I have to say, the colour shirt you’re wearing is perfect for the picture, it stands out in a good way. (trust me, colour is important, having been on local cable tv I was definitely told what NOT to wear..as for my short saudi tv stint..I naturally was in black..haha, at least I could wear make up)

  2. Well, the size of the picture is almost the same, but it looks bigger because my brother scanned it with a high resolution. Choosing the color of shirt to wear was actually confusing, but I settled finally for green and it seems to be a good choice. I’m glad that people are liking it, because I did not expect they would.
