unfortunately, I don’t think it will help much. If anything, it might signal to the King that they’re being ‘watched’ and in a way scrutinized but some attention is better than none. What a pessimistic thought right? Good posting this though Ahmed.
The Saudi government knows that it is watched and scrutinized by international rights organizations. The problem is that until the government responds (if they do), their goal of instilling fear into their own citizens would have been achieved already. Who would dare to criticize after seeing that their fellow writers have been violated and treated this way?
