Badriah al-Bisher has written a great column (Arabic) under the title “Imagine You Are a Woman.” In this column, she explains the miserable states of women in Saudi Arabia in a sarcastic style. “Imagine that you are a woman who gets harassed, hit, or killed, and then when the papers publishes your photo with criminals who attacked you, there will be some people asking if the victim was well covered or not,” she writes.

Ahmed, I can REALLY relate to what she wrote, just ysterday I had a clash with my father (who is a liberal in comparison to many fathers out there) due to something as petty as one of the reasons mentioned in her article. As soon as this article was written, I immediately decided I was going to translate it and blog it. But darn KSU got in my way.. I still will though,especially with yesterday’s motivation, so look forward to seeing it on my blog one day ;-)
