The first one hundred days for King Abdullah have experienced some important decisions, which reflected his personality. Decisions such as pardoning activists, the raise of government employees’ salaries, and making the national day a national holiday, were all well received by the people of Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the mentioned above, there were some changes in the government. Prince Megrin Bin Abul-Aziz was appointed Intelligence Chief, and Prince Abul-Aziz Bin Majed succeeded him as governor of Madinah. The government has also established a new security body called National Security Council, and Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, the former ambassador to the US, was appointed secretary-general of NSC.

What’s more interesting is the rumors that circulate among Saudis and on the internet about further changes. People say that Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad, governor of eastern province, and Prince Khaled al-Faisal, governor of Assir, would be replaced.

It is also said that Prince Mohammed Bin Naif, the assistant of minister of interiors for security affairs, who is known to be the man behind Saudi Arabia’s war against terrorism, will leave his position. It is very likely that Prince Sultan Bin Fahad, president of the government body responsible for sports in the country, and head of SAFF and SAOC, is going to become the next ambassador to Italy, replacing Prince Mohammed Bin Nawaf, who was named ambassador to UK in August.
