NY Times says American pharmaceutical companies are now using cheerleader to sway doctors to their brands. No science degree is needed. A sexy girl is all what they are asking for. So, I have to study for six years at this crappy college, and then some hot chick will come and steal my job? No, thank you. I’m leaving this college!

The article is talking about drug sales representatives..NOT pharmacists. Big difference..a drug rep is just another sales person that’s trying to sell their product and if wooing someone with their sex appeal helps then hey why not.
But phramacists also have the right to be drug sales represetatives. At least that’s something they really know about.
I don’t know ahmed.. i think the role of the pharmacist is different in the mideast than here in the US.. atleast thats what i think. I remember in saudi, pharmacists were like just another sales rep. I wish they would change… you know so much about drugs.. more so than the docs then shouldn’t you be the one monitoring the therapy not just selling the product.
