The latest of our religious police’s creations is to lash boys who harass girls in public in the same place of the harassment, right away. The columnist Gainan al-Ghamdi (Arabic) provokes a good question: What if the one who is harassing was the girl? Are they going to lash her right away? I think the problem with the religious police is that they have no limits. They can do whatsoever they want, and whenever someone stands up to question what they do, he is immediately accused of opposing Islam.

This is so ironic!
Your blog is very good, I was very amazed by some of the insights you have living under Islam. I’m from the US, and while we enjoy many freedoms, by the same token, we also have many of the same problems it appears that you do. Dress codes for example in many schools. Well, I must say that at least if we don’t care for them, we are allowed to go to a different school. At a cost no doubt.
