Badria al-Bisher takes on the war of image (Arabic). The tendency to blur images of human faces on ads and billboards in the country is just ridiculous. If you tried to find out who is responsible for this, no one will be able to tell you. The ministry of commerce, the municipality, and the religious police are the three parties involved in this case, but no one exactly knows who is directly in charge for the mission of blurring.

We’ve been witnessing this in our streets recently. Most of time it’s eyes of female figures are scratched, painted over, punched out.
