In the year of petitions, Abeer Mishkhas emphasizes on respecting others’ choices. She has stated the obvious, but I think that some people in this society are not even ready to accept that idea.

I noticed in her call to “respect others choices” she states ” If some people do not want their wives and daughters to drive or go to school, that is their choice.” She seems to miss a larger issue that women themselves are not given the chance to choose. It is others (read males) that are choosing for them. How about calling for enough respect for a woman to choose for herself if she wants to drive, if she wants an education, if she wants to work?
