According to Ghazi al-Maghlouth, people of Hassa are hoping that the Minister of Defense and Aviation, Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz, will work to improve the management of Saudi Arabian Airlines flights from Hassa Airport. He says that most travelers avoid using it, and prefer to go to King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, because our national airlines do not provide any direct flights from Hassa to other major cities in the country, despite the fact that Hassa airport is much better than many other local airports in the Kingdom. Hassa has a good location that is very close to the rest of GCC countries, and this airport could be much more useful if the Saudi Arabian Airlines knew how manage it. Ironically, most people, who use King Fahad International Airport for local trips, prefer to use Bahrain International Airport when they want to go to foreign destination, because the prices are much cheaper from there.
