I probably have written about something like this before, but I’m going to write about it again, and I’m going to keep writing about it as long as it still bothers me.

Today, I went to the hospital to visit a relative of mine. When I tried to take the elevator, the security guy standing next to it called on me: “excuse me, sir.” I looked at him and said, “yes, is there a problem?” “You are not allowed to enter. You can’t enter wearing this.” (I was wearing my usual pair of jeans and a basic T-shirt). I was not so surprised, but I acted like I actually was. “What? Why?” I asked him, and he told me, “Badla Mamnou3!”.

I’ve decided to go further, so I asked him, “Why? Who said that?” He pointed to a paper on the wall, and said: “Read the rules!” I went to read that paper, and then came back to the security guy and told him: “The paper says people wearing indecent clothes are not allowed to enter, do you think what I’m wearing is indecent?” The man was like: Huh? “The rules say nothing about badla, how can you say badla mamnoun3? Plus, you are wearing one!” I added.

Apparently, the security guy was surprised with all that questioning, so he looked all confused when he was saying: “No.. This is uniform, this is different! That is the rules, and that’s what the rules mean…” I was quite sure the argument with this man was useless, so I looked him in his eyes and said with an angry tone: “What a retarded system!” and left the place. I only want to know who’s the one behind these idiotic rules!
