Yesterday, I had my first official visit to Gara Mountain. The Gara Mountain is a little mountain located in my hometown of Hassa, east of Saudi Arabia. I took some photos, check them out.

Having spent a few years in Saudi, and visited various areas (up the “Hijaz Railroad” from Medina to Medain Saleh — including a breathtaking approach to Al-Ula; and the escarptment outside of Riyadh, diving in the Red Sea, etc.) these photos make me miss the beauty of the country. My Saudi friends were always amazed I traveled all over — noting, usually, they had never visited such places in their own country. Sort of supports what Tarek Al-Maena wrote, ref’d in that other post.
These are awesome. I know there are places like this in Saudi, and I wish there were tourism operators here taking people on such tours to places like this!
