Jeff Jarvis thinks that Thomas Friedman is asking …

Jeff Jarvis thinks that Thomas Friedman is asking the right question regarding the Newsweek story. Friedman says:

I have not read of a single fatwa issued by any Muslim cleric outside Iraq condemning these indiscriminate mass murders of Iraqi Shiites and Kurds by these jihadist suicide bombers, many of whom, according to a Washington Post report, are coming from Saudi Arabia.

Again, Friedman is making a good point. I could not agree more.

  1. Regardless, Friedman is a globalization wonk. He is irresponsible and were his ideal policies put into place, you can kiss any chance a developing country will be able to stand on its own, EVER.

  2. Ahmed!!! What the heck are you doing up so early? I’m only up due to, well you know, menstrual pain :-(

Anthony, I just took a look at your blog. One question, are you for real?

  3. Anthony,
Regardless of what you think of Friedman, I think he is right this time.

    Farah,
I was just checking things up before going to bed and found this. You remind me, I have a physiology exam and I have to know all about menstural cycle. Damn it! Why the heck would I need to know about the menstrual cycle?

  4. Ahmed, serves you right for not having to endure it like we females do! I mean, the least you could do is study it, sheesh!

Good luck on your exams, I’m supposed to be studying right now, and yet, I’m not! Don’t you just hate al taharub?

PS: back to the actual topic, I’m not a big fan of Friedman either. Most of his articles do nothing but depress me. Sure, you might argue it’s the truth, but that doesnt make it any less depressing.
