  1. Hi,
can you explain where Hassa is? I have lived only in Jeddah and I don’t know where Hassa is. Is it another city? town? village? or is it the name of a regional area, like Hijazi region. Thanks.

  4. Hassa is a big region located in the eastern province. It is 170Km south-west to Dammam. A lovely region with palm trees all over the place. You should come some time.

  5. Mansur, Ahmed, Historically there have always been jews in Saudi, when the Prophet Muhammad first arrived in Madina there where about three main jewish tribes in the region, these where Bani Qainqa, Bani Nazir and Bani Quraiza i think i have the spelling wrong but this is more then likely right.
The muslims and the jews where living togather peacefully because there was a non aggression pact between them like a modern day friendship pact, the most important aspect of this was that none of these tribes would help the enemy of the other parties if they are having tribal hostilities.
From what i remember from classes lol which isnt much but the first of these tribes to break the agreement was bani Qainqa – They feared there position against the muslims and began to openly oppose them, because of this the Prophet Muhammad (s) sent them away from Madina and they emigrated to Syria.
Hmm the next Jewish tribe which broke the pledge was the Bani Nazir, this happened after the battle of Uhud they where also banished from Madina some went to Syria but the majority of them moved to Khaibar which is i guess north of Madina.
The last tribe Bani Quraiza continued living peacefully in madina but when the Battle of the ditch (im using the transalated terms for these battles for you Mansur) the Bani Quraiza spied on the muslims and gave strategic information regarding there positions etc to the Qureish and there allies, i dont remember exactly where they where sent but from what i remember it was towards the area of Yemen.

Anyways i think ive written alott and in conclusion you can see there have always been many jewish tribes in saudi, ive only mentioned three but there where countless more.

    Hope you enjoyed :)

  6. I understand there is a small group of Jews in Bahrain. Most of them came from India. And one came from Iraq.
