Badria al-Bisher writes about a woman who had to hit a rude man. It sounds like a funny story, but I think it’s a sad one. It is a shame to find men treat women this way in country where people claim to be the Ultimate-Super-Muslims.

Altough i could not read the article, i could very well imagine how the story must have went. I almost slapped a mutawa one time. My sister and I were out shopping a Sawary Mall on Sari st, and we were walking towards the main door, when this man stops me and tells me something in arabic. My sister knows arabic, and so she was the one who had to hear from him. He was basically saying for her and me to walk separately, and that I should be ashamed to have a girlfriend, with whom I am out on the streets with. My sister got realluy furious at him, and when she told me what this mutawa was saying, I was disgusted at his way of thinking. I told him loudly that this is my sister who I am out with and I will walk closely with her! My sister is 7 years younger to me! I so wanted to slap him! But I did not!
