You know what’s unbelievable? It’s not the article itself. It’s the reader’s responses to the article on Al Arabiya website where ALOT of the people were attacking her and saying she is polluting the reputation of the “Sheikh” and “Mujahed”!!!!!!! How widespread is this view in the KSA?
hassan her mother is the one who wrote the book ‘inside the kingdom’ , if u read the book this stupid girl wafaa obviously got some of her thinking from her mother, i am half saudi and lived most of my life there and beleive me people do not care about wannabe’s like this, she complains that shes not accepted in usa, simple she can change her name just like she has left her family its ridiculous for her to want to keep her family name, in saudi she knows she will not be accepted this way so why make a deal about this walla doesnt make sense ghareeba walla
I’m pretty sure there is many people in this country who admire OBL and still call him “Sheikh al-Mujahdeen”.
Dear Puss,
My point is not whether she is spoiled or not. Everyone has the right to be spoilt or a jerk. My point was that people were saying she was tarnishing OBL’s image!!!
Ahmed you are right, I’m sure there are people in this country who admire this murderer. But don’t think it just goes on in Saudi, I’m sure you can find people scattered about the world that has some admiration for this guy.
About the girl, tough luck. Her voice probably isn’t too great, and she decided to say it’s because she’s osama’s neice. If I had a recording company, I would sign her if she has a good voice, because think about all the publicity surrounding this girl, who would say no? So I believe she’s using her uncle as a scapegoat for her own shortcomings.
Something I found funny about the article is that when they wrote she left her islamic heritage, and adopted the western one. Correct me if I’m wrong, but she’s living in America? There’s a number of Muslims of America, and they are practicing Muslims who have adopted the western way of life, but still have there Islamic heritage.
