I have an idea for a wiki about my hometown, Hassa. The wiki will contain “all things Hassa,” and it can be in Arabic and English. Hassa does not have a city guide. I think a wiki like this could be a city guide, and much, much more. It could be a great help to my local community. Now, I need someone to host it and set it up.

Good luck on the wiki project.
I made one for kuwait KuWiki and it is moving along slowly, but it is moving.
Luckily I have like 3-4 people who also update it occasionaly which is good. My system is that when ever I need to find something like a store, or find cool facts on Kuwait I add it to make it easier to find it again later.
Oh, I can do hosting for you and here is a list of places that offer free wiki service.
Thank you Nibaq. I think I’m going to use WikiCities, but I have to do some research first.
Oh my gosh, Ahmed, a WikiHassa would be so cool. I’m originally Hassawyah, well, like centuries ago. Before our humble but proud tribe settled in Qaseem when you know who took over the Eastern Province. My ancestors are Bani Khaled (Al 3rai3er, are we related?)It’d be soooo cool to know more about the province of my origin! So go for it and make us proud. :-)
You are originally from Hassa?
This is, as Phoebe from Freinds would say, brand new information!. No realtion though!
Oops, forgot to say: I’m working on the Wiki now, but I don’t expect it to become any good till summer.
Please don’t forget to enrich the mother Arabic Wikipedia with information on your home town and province.
Also consider http://wikitravel.org/ for travel information.
Farooha, You got me interested abut teh history of the Eastern Province and, unfortunately, I-don’t-know-who!
Originally, as in my ancestors! I’m not sure I would feel like I belong there.. but I just know that that was where my humble tribe had once dwelled early on. And I remember once seeing a sign on our way to the Eastern province that read ” Al-3rai3er” and my dad was all “balad al ajdad” blah blah.. so it would be really cool to look into it! We’re waiting! (Ps: is there a WikiQaseem? hehe)
