Maram Makkawi tries to compare between Saudi universities and UK universities. I could easily say there is no comparison, and I disagree with her when she generalize about all universities of the Arab World. She only has studied in Saudi Arabia. I think she made such generalization to make the criticism softer in order to be published in our so-called free newspapers. I’m not the only one who disagree with her. The Saudi minister of labor says that “extremist teachings, not unemployment, are the root causes of terrorism.”

You didn’t write anything about the election in SA! I’m from Iran and was in SA this year to do Hadj. I was interested in talking with Saudi people but they didn’t know English and I didn’t know Arabic :( What do ordinary people think about election in SA? You can contact me throught email.

The problem is that the elections are taking place on different times in different places divided to three stages. I could not follow up because I was moving between Riyadh and Hassa, back and forth. I linked to some stories and commented, but I could not experience the elections on the ground. I’ll try to focus more on that during the next stage, which I will vote in it. Wish you had a Hajj Mabrour.
