College life here in Saudi Arabia is hugely different from that one in the States. We got no parties, not much alcohol, and I have no idea about the drugs consumption. Can I call it a “college life,” anyway? it’s almost dead silence in here.

Ummm, I went to KFUPM (King Fahd University of Petroluem and Minerals) and I have to say that I had a blast there. “College life” to me was the best! Parties, hangouts, baloat (a card game), volleyball on Wed. nights, the beach on Fri., Bahrain on the weekend, …etc. It was really endless!
I miss those days :-(
The atmosphere at KFUPM is quite different from that one at KSU. Riyadh is a coservative city and KSU is no exception. My cousins study at KFUPM and I know life there is far better than this one I’m having here in Riyadh. I’m really not used to this dull lifestyle of the capital.
Drugs and Alcohol are way overrated. Don’t let the absence of those things get you down. College for me also doesn’t include parties and alcohol. Although, I still live at home and commute. Parties are usually with friends I have known for a long time. But that is just me…
