I can’t for the life of me understand why would someone pay $1.72 million for something ugly like this, even if it carried the number AAA-1111. But I guess you know what they say: you can’t buy good taste.

well … prince al Waleed bin talal bought the plate AAA-1111 for something close to 6.4 million .
we think its to much but lets see things from his point of view
this man estimated wealth is about 23 billion$
and theoretically if he spends one million every year it will take him 1000 years to spend just on billion while he has 30 billion .
AMD-1984 sounds pretty modest ;)

I cant believe that they would pay this money for a license plate.. That just beyond my understanding how ever much money you have, its not even a persons name.
There’s a saying in English, “more money than brains”. It seems apt here. And the fact that the phrase is English indicates that it’s not just rich Saudis who suffer in the mukh department!

Its about time Saudis should realise the importance of English Language, I think this new plate number is a good sign of improvement. instead of seeing it as beautiful or ugly we should appreciate this bright step taken by the government.
