Lately, I am trying to pay more attention to Arabic blogs. In the past few days, I added more than ten Arabic blogs to my Kinja digest. I can notice that most of them belong to programmers, but sometimes things can get interesting. As far as I know, Serdal, one of the pioneer Arab bloggers, helped many other users to set up their Arabic journals, with WordPress as the most popular tool. I’m glad that blogs are finally finding way to Arab World, and I’m sure many users of the forums will turn to blogs to express their thoughts.

If you use Kinja to keep up with your favourite blogs, you will notice that they just added the flag of Saudi Arabia as a logo for my blog. I sent them the image about two months ago, and finally it’s here!

About a year ago, al-Arabiya channel launched their website. I don’t know why it took me all that time to find out about it. Maybe because the TV channel does not promote it good enough on the screen. However, the website is promising. The content is good, and it is one of the few Arabic news sites with a professional design.

The Iraqi writer Arif Alwan has decided to publish his new novel, Al-Adhwa’a, exclusively on the Internet. The writer told Asharq Al-Awsat the main reason behind his decision is the disappointments he found dealing with the publishers. I think it is good to see Arab writers finally take advantage of the Internet. I downloaded the novel and I will try to read it when I get back to Riyadh.
