Yesterday, I had my first official visit to Gara Mountain. The Gara Mountain is a little mountain located in my hometown of Hassa, east of Saudi Arabia. I took some photos, check them out.

Khaled Al-Maeena has written a good column on the reasons drive Saudi tourists to foreign destinations. He think that “friendliness, facilities, places of historical and general interest, and prices” are the main reasons. “Give people what they want, and watch them flock there. During summer, large number of young men in Riyadh go to Jeddah to have a good time, because they are not allowed to enter entertainment places, such as shopping malls, in Riyadh, unlike Jeddah, which does not have this kind of boys-phobia. Well, not anymore. According to this story, some of Jeddah’s biggest shopping mall decided to follow their Riyadh counterparts by not allowing single men to enter. Several problems between young men and the security guys were reported on Wednesday at the beginning of Jeddah Summer Festival. “Staying home and watching TV is much better than this embarrassment we face,” a man told Asharq al-Awsat.
