WSJ says Google will soon resume scanning copyrighted library books into its search engine, despite the efforts of some publishers and authors to block it from doing so without the copyright holders’ permission. Let me just say that those who oppose this project are not making a rational argument. It is clear how to violate the copyrights of publisher and authors, and I think it is clear that Google is not doing a wrong thing.
