Rotana, the largest production company in the Arab World, is to launch an Islamic channel. Rotana have a network of five TV channels for music and movies. Does it make sense to you? From a business perspective, music sells and religion sells, but I don’t know why, this does not make sense to me.

Husein Shubukshi thinks the latest statement against women’s driving lacked decency and was impolite because it despised those who approved the right of women to drive, including many of scholars and citizens of Muslim World. Shubukshi was very sharp on this matter. I don’t think the extremists would let him get away with it. Get ready to have your share of indecency and impoliteness, Mr. Shubukshi

I have asked if we needed another King Faisal, and now Abeer Mishkhas asks if we need a referee. She thinks that those petitioners against women are driving “seem to live on another planet or maybe they just have not been looking around them lately.” However, she thinks what is happening now is good. She says:

The fact that we started debating issues in our society is a great sign. We need to know how to differ with each other and stop denying the other parties the right to express their opinions by branding them. Like the petitioners here who branded their opponents as being hypocrites and atheists.
