Sahar al-Ramlawi thinks our legal system “should consider introducing community service and open the way for courts to order offenders involved in minor crimes to do this kind of service instead of sentencing them to prison.” I think it should, but I don’t think they would. The officials of our legal system think it is perfect, and they won’t change a thing. But I’m glad the writer had the courage to suggest this.
