Please Resign

I was planning to write some special reports during the last Asian Cup, but now I’m glad I didn’t. At least I didn’t have to write about the humiliation we faced from football start-ups like Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

But I wasn’t so mad to see our national team leaving the competition from the first round. You know, it is football… shit happens! I was mad because of the irrational decisions I heard after we lost to Iraq.

As usual, a man setting in Riyadh [or maybe having his summer vacation in Europe] decided to sack the Dutch coach Gerard Van Der Leem. This doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world. Being the president of the SAAF gives you the right to do whatever you want with our National Team. Yes, you can do it all by yourself.

Sound like a good job but wait, this job is especially made to suit one guy who will enjoy it forever; just because he owns a title called “Prince.” No matter how many times we change coaches, players, supporters… one man is still here, and he will be here until you decide to kill yourself affected by the low performances of your national team.

Tow numbers are enough to detect the problem:

Germany 8 – 0 Saudi Arabia

Since the German FA was founded, only 13 coaches trained the national German team. While here, we had more than 13 coaches in the last ten years! Keep counting people, we are breaking the records!

Done, with some errors

Finally, I’m done of this template thing. I had put my touch on it, but there is a little problem. Every time I open the page, the browser status bar tells me: “Done, with some errors.”

Is this happining with you? Please tell me.

Anyone who can take a look at the code and tell me how can I correct the errors? Please help!

Template Job

I felt that my old template was resembling other blogs, so I’ve decided to change it. I don’t like this new template very much. I think I’ll have to work on it in the next few days.

Give your PC a Mac-over!

Inspired by Jason Shellen, and basically because I got nothing to do lately, I’ve decided to give my PC a Mac-over. I used an app called Object Dock from Stardock, and here is the result…

Click here to take a look!

I’ve been using Windows since I was a kid but I did never love it, because I was a secret admirer to that lovely Apple. But since Apple’s products are pricey and it is really hard to find Arabic apps that works on Macs, I had to stick to Bill’s stolen OS ;) You can call me a Mac Voyeur in a Windows World!

Blocked, Again

Finally, after years of “What the hell is this?!” KACST, the government body responsible for Internet in Saudi Arabia, decided to clean up the blogsphere and they started with those hosted on BlogSpot servers.

As you may expect, this blog is blocked. My other blogs Yawmyat and Pharmaddict are also blocked while my Amr Diab blog is still available. It seems that Amr Diab is not interesting enough; so I should do something about it! But believe it or not, Muttawa is not blocked yet!

I’m not sad that no one in The Magic Kingdom can read my blogs anymore, because this will never stop me. I will start another blog for Saudis and this blog will still alive. I’m just sad that I’m not gonna be able to read some of my very favourite blogs. I will miss reading Zaydoun‘s and Salam Pax.

Earlier this year, KACST blocked the whole BlogSopt domain but they unblocked it few weeks after that. I thought that was it. They made a mistake, they corrected it and they will never do it again. But I was so wrong!

My favourite blogger Zaydoun wrote a good advice on this whole censorship thing: IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT, DON’T READ IT!!

No good, they blocked it already and they can’t read it :(
