Vote for Ahsa!

My beloved hometown of Ahsa (aka Hassa) has entered the race of candidates for the New 7 Wonders of Nature Nominees. This is the second campaign for the New7Wonders Foundation after their first campaign to choose the New 7 Wonders of the World.

Friends of Light

Jordan’s rose-red city of Petra has won in the first campaign, and they are also present in the new list with Wadi Rum. Now I don’t think Ahsa will make it to the final nominees (it’s in the 47th place right now), but hey, please do me a favor and go vote. It will cost you nothing and you will make me happy :-)

I’m sorry dude, but I don’t think Ahsa deserves to be among the international list of world wonders. Just doesn’t really seem to be up for it.

I think you are a little bit late since it ended on 7/7/2007 and there has been a ceremony for it.

    Hi Ali,

The site says “Voting for nominees will continue through 31.12.08. A New7Wonders Panel of Experts will then select the 21 finalists, from which voters worldwide will elect the New 7 Wonders of Nature…”

    Thanks brother
I hope Al Ahsa win the race of candidates
It’s the only city chosen in the Arab gulf countries

The oases here are really a thing to marvel at. If people could see the huge expanse of emerald green emerging from the barren desert, maybe then they’d deem it worthy of a “wonder of nature” title. They should check it out in google earth, I spotted Al-Hassa right away as I zoomed in on the gulf from the dark-green spots in the midst of a sea of beige.
